Tyrone embraces his cultural background strongly and is determined to continue to bring his heritage and diversity to the forefront of the entertainment and arts industry both on and off screen. Naturally he draws inspiration from New Zealand icons Taika Waititi, Sam Neill, Rena Owen, Karl Urban and Temuera Morrison to name a few. Like those before him, Tyrone aims to be a figure of inspiration to not only his generation of Maori and all New Zealanders, but the next generations to come. "As indigenous people, we are the original story tellers. We have generations of untold history to share with the world, particularly Maori culture. I would love nothing more but to share my culture even more than it already has been by those before me. Not only to share my culture but the humanity within us all that can be so powerful and relatable when produced on screen."
