Shona Melrose is a British actress born and raised in the highland capital of Inverness. She studied Neuroscience at The University of Edinburgh before embarking on a trip to New York City where her love for the performing arts grew and flourished into a passion. On returning from New York Shona began training at the MGA Academy of Performing Arts in 2012. Since then she has been involved in a number of stage productions including the Scottish premier of 'The Addams Family Musical' at the Kings Theatre. Unfortunately Shona sustained a severe head and spinal injury in November 2014, which put her career on hold until October 2015. She has made a full recovery and shall soon appear on screen as Queen Edana in the Fellowship Film feature, 'The Gael King'. Most recently Shona played Mary Queen of Scots in a production of 'John Knox', which ran during the 2016 Edinburgh Fringe Festival.
